The impressive feat of jamming a 13-song LP with giving or taking a good dozen participants staking their claim on the project was accomplished by Beast Coast. “Bones” is highly representative of what a high-stakes environment would look like among friends, regardless of how the parts were designed.
The LP’s 8th song offers little in the way of solitary vindication. In the compact space of 8 bars at best, Kirk Knight, Darko, Zombie Juice, Erick the Architect, Nyck Caution, Issa Gold and Erick Arc Elliott succeed. Only AK The Savior and Meechy Darko, respectively from The Underachievers and Flatbush Zombies, registered on “Bones” as full timers, and deservedly so-as they had an impact on the song with a certain pedigree, and a pace-setting example for the remaining 5 songs on the LP.
