Katy Perry released a new song called “Never Really Over,” which comes with a music video accompanying it. The video finds Perry as dancers dressed in bellbottoms and other 70s attire move around her in a dreamlike community setting.
The song features EDM superstar Zedd production, which lends its propulsive synth chords and steady house beat to the track. “I brought[ Zedd] to the song and said it sounds incredible to wow,” Perry said in a statement. “Specifically the lyrics in the second verse I love are:’ I think I should try to go to therapy to try to get you out of my brain, I can’t even go online without even checking your name.'”
In February, Perry released another collaboration called “365” with Zedd. Earlier that month, she joined Kacey Musgraves and Miley Cyrus at this year’s MusiCares award ceremony to perform a Dolly Parton tribute, where Parton was awarded the Person Of The Year award. In 2017, Perry’s last Witness album was released. See below “Never Really Over.”
