When Cardi B first previewed her hit single “Press” last year, his fans couldn’t wait to hear the full version. Now that the song has been out for several months, it’s a favorite for BardiGang who keeps running on superstar flow. Doja Cat got a counterattack when she jumped into the live-stream and started singing along to the song, imitating Cardi’s high-energy flow. During the video, Doja praised the singer but when the clip was distributed online, it was edited to include only the parts where she seemed to make fun of it. She was recently on the Big Boy radio show to clear the controversy, telling her fans that she had talked to Cardi and they were fine.
Touching what happened that day, Doja said that she had just drank energy drinks and felt hyper. When she got into the car, she decided to sing together to “Press” after it came on the radio and that’s when people started pitting him against Bardi, even sending death threats to the artist. She said that, when she finally got the chance to meet with Cardi, the two discussed what had happened.
“I talked to Cardi and he was very sweet and understanding,” said Doja. “She’s a smart woman and she may make fun of her friends and other celebrities when she is consuming caffeine or lighting cigarettes.”
The singer then goes on to criticize how hip-hop often pits each other, which is unfortunately accurate, before discussing Jermaine Dupri’s comments about the state of female rap. Watch the full interview below, where he even talks about hentai towards the end.
