At the height of July, Lil Gotit released a new song, “Pop My Sh * t”, and now he has asked his brother, Lil Keed to remix. I will clarify that Lil Keed is her sibling, for those who are unconscious and unsure whether I am using “brothers” metaphorically. Atlanta rappers have made many of their songs a family affair by recruiting one another. Lil Keed appeared on two songs from Lil Gotit’s latest album, Crazy But It True, and Lil Gotit was featured on “Pass It Out” from Lil Keed’s latest album, Long Live Mexico. If you want to dive deeper into the history of their collaboration – which I highly recommend – there are certainly more out there.
While Lil Gotit and Lil Keed have been experimenting with high-pitched vocals like their mentor, Young Thug, this song shows they will take a more relaxed approach. However, there is clearly no shortage of energy on this track.
Lil Gotit has worked hard in 2019, releasing several singles and collaborations after dropping the full project at the peak of this year. Lil Keed has subscribed to the same model and you don’t need to be surprised when you see them both following the same trajectory of being a star.
Quotable Lyrics
I sent the shooters, yeah no cap
Yeah, what is the price range?
No, I don’t care bout your old man
No, I don’t care bout your mommy
