Big Shaq, otherwise known as Michael Dapaah, has a moment of exodus in North America with the release of “Mans Not Hot.” The song is a parody on the sound of the drill / hip-hop area out of the U.K. However, the song was not serious, too Big Shaq, because everything is just a character for the show. Since then, he continues in the comedy, finding success in a field while seldomly revisiting the character Big Shaq with new songs.
This week, he dropped his latest song “Buss It Down.” Unlike his previous efforts such as “Mans Do not Dance” and “Daily Duppy freestyle,” he seems to be a bit more serious as this one. Although he slides in funny bits here and there, he still came through with a couple of bars and celebrity connections simultaneously flexes sh * tting on the rest of the game. “300 million views, how dare you say I can not rap? / Triple platinum, no cap / Triple platinum, it was Shaq,” he offered on the track.
