After a long musical hiatus, the dynamic and classic hip hop duo Blu & Exile resurfaced. The Hip Hop pair dropped their latest project, True & Livin’ precisely. The project gave off major old school hip hop vibes, and so naturally, it certainly yielded nostalgic feelings from its listeners.
The EP still contains a brief composition of tracks full of witty lyrical play and powerful messages, though short. We find the politically inclined song “Power to the People” of the few tracks featuring a slew of talented artists. In other words, Fashawn, Aloe Blacc, Blame One, King, Johaz, Choosey. The song obviously weighs in on the world’s current political disarray and gives the masses the power of choice. Indeed, this one is for the revolutionaries and bleeds a strong message that guarantees the empowerment of the disadvantaged and marginalized.
In addition, with nearly two decades of knowing each other, Blu & Exile continues to impress us with the creative output of their well-combined collaboration.
