It’s been a while since we got new music from Kesha. Last year, the 32-year-old kept busy with a couple of projects including “Here Comes The Change” and an update on “This Is Me” for The Greatest Showman Reimagined. But lately she was quite quiet on the musical front. Fortunately, that changed over the weekend when she unveiled a song called “Rich, White, Straight, Men.”
“I don’t know where it will go or what it will be, but I don’t want it to sit on my computer.” Maybe she doesn’t know the final destination of the track. However, due to the current political climate, it is abundantly clear that it is timely. As the title suggests, “Rich, White, Straight, Men” is an anthem of protest that imagines how life can change if we shake things up a little. “What if life was over as we knew it? What do you think? I know her, God is a woman,” she sings. Her questions continue on the chorus, where the former K$ asks her most important question: “What if the world was no longer ruled by rich, white, straight men?”
