It seems that Lil Berete is getting ready to end the year on a big note. Throughout the year, the Toronto rapper has been pushing his 2018 debut Icebreaker but it seems we should expect him to come up with a new project soon. With his latest single, “Money Moves” ft. Headie One, the rapper returned today. The latest single from the rapper follows the release with Deno of “Chase Cash.” Although the topic is similar, with this album, Lil Berete takes a whole new direction. Lil Berete stretches auto-tuned melodies as he dives into an instrumental dark trap. The choppy drill flow of Headie One holds it down on the first verse before the second Lil Berete swings in.
Previously, Berete cut it off on what to expect from his upcoming project. “You guys will know me again when I drop my album. Rapping, rockstar type music, R&B, grime rap, different styles,” he said to HNHH. “When you memorize how to sing and use afro-beats and do that hip-hop stuff, you can do anything in the world. There are artists right now that people think they’re the best in the world, but they’re probably not going to make a song for international people, for Africans.”
Quotable Lyrics
I was in the trap house, really
Tryna make me a mill, no Philly
Now, I’m live in radio, I can’t even answer the lizzy
I still do dealin’s
