Mannequin Pussy announced his third album last month, Patience, with the amazing “Drunk II,” making our list of the week’s best songs. The Philadelphia band is releasing today a new single, “Who You Are,” which shows off the group’s softer and sweeter side once again.
This one finds Marisa Dabice in full mode of inspiration, singing in the choir: “Oh, who taught you how to hate you? / If I were you, there’s nothing I’d restart / I love who you are.” There’s still the same precision the band’s always trafficked in, used to different ends.
