Epix new series, Godfather of Harlem, has launched a song to promote the first season, which premiered on September 29 event star Forest Whitaker as Bumpy Johnson, tells the story of a legendary crime lord relationship with Malcolm X at 60. Swizz Beatz is the executive music producer of the event, therefore, he is one of a curated soundtrack. So far, he has contributed his own song ( “I Do not Fear”) and ask for the collaboration of Dave East & A $ AP Ferg ( “Business Is Business”).
While Swizz has brought artists Harlem with the storyline of the event, he also said that he was looking for a global voice for the soundtrack. This is clearly the motivation behind putting French Montana on track with the grandchildren of Bob Marley, Skip Marley. This song begins with a dramatic key and then build up in the funky percussion. Even as it gets more optimistic, “Call Me Man” remains burdened with serious human rights problems that Marley soulfully singing about. France brought some relevant drug-dealing raps, which all subscribe Harlem Godfather theme.
