BENNY THE BUTCHER is one of the MVPs of 2019. For years, Smoke DZA has retained excellent quality. No introduction is needed for Pete Rock. These three artists assemble to present us a six-track EP entitled Statue of Limitations on 18 October.
Our EP’s first sample, the “Drug Rap,” is as dynamic and challenging as this trio would have predicted. Benny and Smoke DZA have vocal tones and dense flows that sound like jazzy samples in the house in which Pete Rock is specialized. The EP definitely will be a good treatment with bars for Halloween. This tracklist shows Benny’s participation by members of Griselda Records, Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn. Styles P will also appear, ensuring further that the EP is a lyrical affair of the very best.
Previously Smoke DZA & Pete Rock had been working on the Don’t Smoke Rock album in 2016.
