After a few weeks back after a poster was sighted during the Rolling Loud Festival weekend, fans began to speculate whether Young Thug, J. Cole and Travis Scott were cooking a track together. We know that J. already. Cole and Young Thug worked together late on the upcoming project of Thugger with Cole handling executive production.
Twitter users shared pictures of a poster advertising a joint effort by Young Thug, J. Cole, Travis Scott, and T-Minus producer “Middle Child,” which was Billed as a “new summer anthem.” Release information remained firmly in “coming soon” territory, prompting speculation as to when this one might arrive.
Earlier today, however, Cole took to twitter to inform fans that the song would be “dropping in 24 minutes.” Even with just a preview currently available, the song proves that it deserves its title of “summer anthem,” with a catchy but slightly subdued beat, a classic, Travis Scott glitchy, autotune, vibe-y hook, Cole’s usual, impassioned sound flow going harrd, and Thug getting stronger.
