After hitting us with the song “Big Raccs” a few weeks ago, the emerging South Central rapper, G Perico, decided to come today and share the rest of the Ten-Eight project.
The follow up for last year’s EP Guess What contained a total of 11 songs and featured guest appearances from Sonny Digital, Bucho and AZ Chike. Speaking of the project, G Perico said:
“I named this project Ten Eight Eight because 108 is the essence of G Perico,” he told Complex. “What I represent now comes from days of being here, fighting here. I have been shot here. The police have come in and kicked the door. During this time I tried to be a musician, philosopher, entrepreneur, successful forward thinker. This is where I did my first project, on the side. We built a studio here. That’s where I do Tha Inner Prize. I bail, on the road hurried. There are shootings every day, it’s crackin ‘. This is where the vision arose and we began to process it into something. “
“I would say that the Ten Eight is an introduction to more commercial street dirt,” he continued. “This is just to keep the roads bouncing. I like it when attractive bastards bang my shit. From my start until now, I kind of understand what they like. Ten Eight is pretty much that. You will be able to party and take something from it. Damn, I was just a straight gangster. These are some of the things that you can thrill and party.
