Salma Slims has made her Runway Rapper moniker official with her newest album after years of toting around the heavy title.
On Runway Rapper, listeners get a detailed look at Slims ‘ artistry as she gently balances her craft’s duality. The project functions as an eight-track opus and finds that the Atlanta-reared emcee keeps things in the family literally with 24hrs sole features and MadeInTYO, the husband and brother-in-law of the rapper, respectively.
“The Rapper part is my lyricism and all that extra shit, but the Runway part is sort of my model-esque side. ‘Cause I photograph very well. I landed campaigns with Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger this year,’ Salma tells LA Weekly about the new project.” It’s like an alter ego. It’s feminine, then it’s booming! Hard bars.
