It was an exciting week, and to end the week promoting and celebrating his new album, TM104: The Legend of the Snowman, the Atlanta rapper stopped by the Weather Channel studio in his hometown. Jeezy kicked off her segment as a guest meteorologist by introducing herself to viewers as “You really are, a weather clerk, better known as a snowman”. Given the snowman theme that has permeated Jeezy’s work and image since she stepped on the stage, giving a weather report was clearly a clever marketing idea.
Jeezy gives a regular report until the screen switches to display the forecast calling snow in Atlanta with “The Legend of the Snowman” written at the top. He explained this strange meteorological phenomenon: “It’s going to snow, because my album is on the streets and I’m a snowman, Atlanta, Georgia”.
Jeezy also shook one of her iconic snowman tees, which is quite funny when you remember that they were banned from schools throughout the country around the release of her debut studio album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. Shirts became very popular but when the school administrators realized that snowmen it symbolizes Jeezy’s coke-deal past, they are not happy. Now, everything comes full circle when Jeezy releases the last installment of the Thug Motivation series through Def Jam. The top comment about The Weather Channel’s tweet called Jeezy because of her smooth movements on broadcast television, “You all know she uses cocaine, right”.
Pay attention to the final results at the end of the match.
