Lil GotIt has proven to be one of the hottest young artists from Atlanta. Under the guidance of Young Thug, he prepared for a big career outside of A. The rapper dropped Hood Baby in 2018 which served as an introductory project for Thugger’s students. A few months later, he came up with a second project that produced the hit “Da Real HoodBabies” which finally received remix care with additional verses from Lil Baby. Now, it looks like he is preparing himself to end this year on a big note with Hood Baby 2.
Lil GotIt has only three projects, but the third mixtape must be considered a triple-disc effort. The rapper revealed a list of songs for the upcoming project, Hood Baby 2 totaling 35 songs consisting of new and old songs. He has a long list of collaborators on this project including Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Keed, Quavo, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, PeeWee Longway, Lil Durk, Grizzley Tee, Yo Gotti, BlocBoy JB and many more. In terms of production, he got several power plants on deck like Wheezy, ThatBoyCash, Zaytoven, and many more.
Hood Baby turned into a mixtape series at this time. In an interview with HNHH earlier this year, he explained where the title of the album came from, “It came from being in a tent and everyone treated me like a little brother. I would write a song and then I started calling myself Hood Baby,” he explained.
