Finally, Freddie Gibbs and the new album from Madlib, Bandana, are on their way. The rapper-producer duo behind 2014’s Pinata returned earlier today with their new single, “Crime Pays,” the third song they released in anticipation of their new album after “Flat Tummy Tea” and “Bandana.” The single came along with Bandana’s official release date set for 28 June. The album will consist of a total of fifteen songs including “Flat Tummy Tea” and “Crime Pays” as well as confirmation that both Pusha T and Killer Mike will have a song.
For quite some time, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have been teasing this project’s release. Gibbs confirmed that after Fetti’s release we would see the long-awaited follow-up to Pinata in 2019. Recently, the duo revealed a third installment to complete the Montana trilogy. They still have to confirm any other details, but we are excited to know that there are more MadGibbs on the way to Bandana.
