Over the past three years, U.K.’s MoStack has been heavily buzzing, but only now is he getting ready to release his debut album. Stacko is due to be released on June 7th and over the past few weeks MoStack has been slowly releasing new singles.
Earlier this year he released his single, “Wild,” and now he is teaming up for “Shine Girl” with big Stormzy. It seems very likely that the new album from MoStack will be running out for the summer. “Shine Girl” is a summer-ready track with Stormzy and MoStack performing a track influenced by dancehall / afrobeat. Big Storm holds the hook down before the first verse of MoStack comes in. Although at the beginning of the track Stormzy flexes his singing, he later enters his grime bag and blesses us with a harder-hitting delivery.
“Shine Girl” is Stormzy’s latest appearance that shows he’s got big plans this year. He’s recently debuted his first single since last month’s Gang Signs & Prayers, “Vossi Bop,” and he’s set to headline next month’s Glastonbury so it’s on the way to a new album.
