The original “Dirty” of Tank was released back in January: a song showing the signature smooth and bassy pipes of the 40-year-old R&B impresario. The track gave a hyperrealistic picture of all that the singer hoped to do to a lucky lady in the bedroom, so heavy with detail that he could surely leave his old demographic blushing. The quietly paced and soulful expression of sensuality of the song earned it acclaim among fans, which might be the reason why Tank decided to revisit it, turning it from a bedroom banger to a (still) smooth, pop-y hit.
Four months later, Tank has returns with Chris Brown for a radio-friendly and fully upgraded track remix. The beat is changed to a much more up-tempo (but still sensual) melody by Christian Ward, AKA Yung Berg, AKA Hitmaka. Feather & Rahky, apart from Chris Brown, also appear on the track to incorporate Keith Sweat’s 1996 classic “Twisted” into the new hook. Also, the cover art receives a revamp, with a change of color to a more eye-catching crimson, and in the background more detail.
