Twitter Reacts To Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist Selection

Obama continues to flex his muscles as a taste maker.
Barack Obama returns with another summer song list, adding to his vocabulary of choice to highlight what he and his wife Michelle have played this season.

“With the summer subsiding, here’s an example of what Michelle and I have listened to – some new, some old, some fast, some slow,” Obama said. “Hope you enjoy.”

Entered on 44 tracks (we see what he did there), this new playlist features a number of genres and sounds with the former president making choices which include Lizzo’s “Juice”, “Go Gina,” To Gina, “Toast” Koffee, Koffee’s “Toast,” A Tribe Called Quest’s “Can I Kick It?”, “Lil Town X” Old Town Road, “and Rema’s” Iron Man “.

This list features a balanced mix of new and old, also offering listeners a nostalgic journey with songs like Frank Sinatra, Donny Hathaway, Lauryn Hill, and Erick Sermon and Marvin Gaye.

Of course, Twitter has a lot to say about new offers curated by The Obamas, especially about the addition of hidden gems found in names like the Nigerian star Rema mentioned earlier.
