Last week, the hype around being “lit” at parties was questioned by OME and Father, and now he’s back with Method Man as the pair rap on gluttony. OME, Meth, and a few friends— including Buzzfeed comedian Quinta Brunson — are featuring the music video for “Eat Your Feelings” as they over-indulge in their choice of delicacies. No, they don’t stuff their faces with expensive foods; they feast on luxury items including clothing, jewelry, fragrances, rare memorabilia sports, grillz, and the like.
OME and Meth obviously draw attention to people who feel the need to show off their wealth as a way to mask their emotions. There’s nothing wrong with having some cash in your pockets and, as the saying goes, “It’s not a trick if you have it,” but sometimes people go overboard.
