Wu-Tang Clan Replace Die Antwoord At Riot Fest After Homophobic Slur Vid Surfaces

Since then Antwoord issued a statement about the controversy.
The Wu-Tang clan has nothing to do with them, but they are a group you can count on. So, Die Antwoord found themselves in hot water recently after a video from Ninja and ¥ o-landi got into a fight with Andy Butler from Hercules and Love. Even though Ninja got physical with Butler, it was ¥ o-landi which sparked controversy after using homophobic slurs in a fight. In the PC era, you can’t just throw discriminatory insults at people and expect things to be good. They were then expelled from the Riot Festival who asked the Wu-Tang Clan from Staten Island to fill it.

For Chicago fans, you will be pleased to know that the Wu-Tang Clan will be in the building next Saturday for the Riot Fest. After the festival organizer announced that “Die Antwoord will no longer appear at the 2019 Riot Fest,” they came the next day with news that the Wu-Tang Clan would appear instead. This must be an extraordinary show considering this is the 25th anniversary of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and they have been on the road all summer to commemorate the anniversary.

Riot Fest is not the only festival that takes a stand against Die Antwoord. 2019 Harder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky has also dropped the group from the composition of their festival, but it is unclear whether we can expect the Wu-Tang Clan to come to the rescue, again.
