YNW Melly’s Little Brother Dissects His New Song & Lessons He’s Learned

Depending on how aligned you are with the younger generation of rappers, you may have heard of YNW BSlime, YNW’s younger brother Melly. The 12-year-old has received a number of rumors due to his brother’s absence, releasing songs and producing millions of hits based on the strength of his name alone. The song, “Slime Dreams,” was released through Melly’s YouTube page, giving it an extra boost and exposing BSlime music to a larger audience. Because of his brother’s current difficulties – the rapper currently faces the death penalty for multiple murders – Melly has become a popular search term throughout the year when fans try to learn about the young Florida’s presence. Now his younger brother is speaking on his behalf, living his own dream and following in his great footsteps. He recently stopped by Genius to explain the lyrics to his new song, also touching on the lessons he learned from his brother.

One thing that you will take right off the bat is that this child has a strong voice. Like his older brother, YNW BSlime knows how to use the depth of his vocal to truly appear as the king of melody. Of course, BSlime has limited discography so far but the live singing in this video is very impressive. Just as Lil Tecca did a few weeks ago, BSlime did not want to incriminate himself in the interview, saying that all the weapons mentioned in the song were hats. “To be honest, I don’t have a weapon just to make that clear, but I will take your bae,” said the 12-year-old boy in an insolent manner.

Elsewhere in the clip, he talks about the experience he had with his brother and the lessons he learned from Melly. Watch below.
