Yung Mal continued his solo business after taking a break from a joint project with Lil Quill. Still signing a contract with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo Records, Yung Mal has released several songs with his own name in 2019. He recruited the head of the label for his latest release “Fresh”, which is the second single from his upcoming album, Iceburg. Regarding the project, Yung Mal told Complex, “Fans can’t expect anything but starving from me.” In “Action”, Yung Mal gets a knock and a verse from Pi’erre Bourne, and a verse from fellow Atlantan, Lil Gotit.
Pi’erre provided his usual punch production, tasting some strange strings to make it more bouncy. Yung Mal banged two hoarse poems out of the garden, while lighter tones from Pi’erre and Lil Gotit offered a nice balance. Seeing all three, artists who are on the rise in the same song together, are very encouraging.
Lil Gotit released “Pop My Sh * t (Remix)” which featured Lil Keed yesterday, Pi’erre canceled the project The Life of Pi’erre 4 in June, and Yung Mal’s solo album will be released on August 28th. Don’t sleep in one of them.
