VIDEO: Saweetie – My Type [Claws Remix]

Bay-area bad girl Saweetie made waves late in the industry. The rise to stardom of the socialite is based on the booming success of Khia’s take on “My Neck, My Back,” which she uniquely remixed with her song “ICY GRL.” And the rest has been history since the track’s release. The artist went on to release her well-received debut project, ICY. She also collaborated on the London On Da Track bop “Up Now” with G-Eazy & Rich The Kid. Of course, we must mention her adorable relationship with Migos-affiliate Quavo, which places her on industry radar only further. The couple recently performed for Summer Jam together in New York. Saweetie certainly makes a name for herself and we look forward to seeing what’s next for her.

Now with the rise of another popular single, the ICY GRL just dropped a video for the song “My Type.” The video features appearances by the cast members of TNT’s hit television show “Claws.” Karrueche, Niecy Nash and Primetime Emmy winner Carrie Preston are among several others among the star-studded video. The new season of the beloved series was announced by the musical partnership.

You can catch BlocBoy and the rest of his crew in the new video for “Mercedes” in a studio setting where limited props take center stage, save for a Mercedes car and bankrolls.

The video is, for the most part, another exhibition of the dance movements plucked from Memphis pockets and across the South, making up the upbeat track for an appropriately light-hearted take. Look up the “Mercedes” video.

Directed by Damien Sandavol, Tink finds the new clip flawlessly vacillating between fits and dynamic backdrops as she details the consequences of a love that went wrong: “You weren’t there when I was alone / say you care, but you really don’t / it’s all in your actions, none of my faults/’because I’m not the kind you put on your side whenever you want.”

The video comes after Tink dropped off her full-length project Voicemails, which houses “Different” among a 12-track selection.
