VIDEO: India Arie – Steady Love

Neo-soul singer India. Arie has returned from her album Worthy with another tender, harmonizing love song. She released the record earlier this year, the day after Valentine’s Day, and now she’s delivering a visual to her single “Steady Love.” The R&B singer offers a music video showing the potential stages of a relationship as a couple cook together, spending time with each other, struggling to get pregnant, struggling and breaking up just to make up, and finally getting involved.

No other “Get Like Me” rapper and producer David Banner is playing the romantic role of India. Arie’s leading man. As India. Arie sings about all the reasons why she loves her man, the artists play the parts of two people in love. She caught up with Billboard earlier this year to discuss the differences between the singer she was years ago and the artist she is now. “I Am Not My Hair’s India was looking for ways to be empowered and free,” she said. “She knew she had it inside her but it was blocked by a lot of things. Today’s India has achieved freedom and empowerment; perhaps earned is the right word. I also earned self-respect. I like who I am, even in difficult times, and in my music it comes across.

VIDEO: Xzibit – Elevator Ft. Problem

YG is not the only rapper that drops music and imagery that pays tribute to the West Coast. Recently, Rapper Xzibit unveiled his single “Elevator” featuring Problem and released the song’s music video on the California theme yesterday. The two rappers are pairing up for an old school-meets-new school vibe that on the hot track blends well together.

The music video plays around various parts of the city like a Los Angeles tour as Xzibit and Problem Cruise. They roll through Hollywood’s heart as they drive through the building of Capitol Records and stroll through Venice Beach’s boulevard, passing dozens of vendors and street performers. They also perform themselves under cloudy, gray California skies on the shore for the camera. The feel-good jam pairs well with the visual that shows enjoying a day out to the rappers and their entourage as they are all smiles in the world without care. Check it out.

VIDEO: O.T. Genasis – Look At That

Rappers roll out tracks they hope will be summer bangers from the street-to-street strip clubs, and O.T. Recently, Genasis threw his hat in the ring with “Look At That.” Last week, he dropped off the single and now gives us Michael Garcia’s accompanying music video. The visual opens with frustrated two women leaving a bar. Then they’re running into O.T. Who says, “If you don’t get the money, you’ll have to get the money.”

It seems that this means becoming the near-naked centerpieces of a float-type parade— complete with a pole— that travels down public streets. The two women twerk and shake it quickly as people go out and stop for the’ Gram to take pictures and snap pictures. The video is not for the weak of heart and the song is set to be the club turn-up cut. See “Look At That” and let us know what you’re thinking about O.T. The latest visual from Genasis.

VIDEO: Diggy – Goin

Diggy Simmons continues to step into his own as the former Run’s House child star shows that on reality television he’s more than his previous portraits. At the end of 2018, the 24-year-old released his Lighten Up album and the record continues to roll out single. His latest drop off is the “Go,” a dance-centered music video that Flow Brothers directed.

The visual takes place on a playground with a handful of dancers taking turns showing off their abilities. A lot of Harlem shaking is going on, a nod to the upbringing and style of Diggy in New York. Later, in a two-seater, Diggy rides around, dropping top luxury ride alongside his lady. This is not the Diggy that many fans of Run’s House remember, but let us know if the young rapper has the chops in the game to make a name for himself.

VIDEO: YG – In The Dark

With his brand new 4REAL 4REAL album that he’s been teasing for a while, YG came through this Friday. The tape was meant to be a surprise album set to be released at the top of April, but YG delayed the release out of respect since Nipsey Hussle’s unfortunate passage.

Now that the tape is here in its entirety, it only makes sense to drop a music video and YG is here with a visual for the third track, “In The Dark.” The visual accompaniment of the[ DJ] Mustard-produced song sees YG plunge into an underground world with satanic elements that looks like a glorified hell.

YG is trying to fight the Devil in the dark toward the end. Things even end with a dance session full of blood that’s pretty wild. “Excuse my wack ass album rollout promotions, I haven’t been in the mood of doing anything like that since they’ve taken my brother! But” The Marathon Continues-4REAL “4REAL! WESTSIDE,” YG wrote on Twitter.

VIDEO: Open Mike Eagle & Method Man – Eat Your Feelings

For The New Negroes of Comedy Central, Open Mike Eagle features a new musical collaboration every week. Last week, the hype around being “lit” at parties was questioned by OME and Father, and now he’s back with Method Man as the pair rap on gluttony. OME, Meth, and a few friends— including Buzzfeed comedian Quinta Brunson — are featuring the music video for “Eat Your Feelings” as they over-indulge in their choice of delicacies. No, they don’t stuff their faces with expensive foods; they feast on luxury items including clothing, jewelry, fragrances, rare memorabilia sports, grillz, and the like.

OME and Meth obviously draw attention to people who feel the need to show off their wealth as a way to mask their emotions. There’s nothing wrong with having some cash in your pockets and, as the saying goes, “It’s not a trick if you have it,” but sometimes people go overboard. Check out the visual gold-laced and let us know what you think.

VIDEO: Momoh Feat. Nipsey Hussle – WestSide

Just days after DJ Khaled, Nipsey Hussle and John Legend premiered the video for “Higher,” another video featuring the late legend of Los Angeles has surfaced online. As reported by OnSmash, Minneapolis rapper Momoh collaborated with Nipsey Hussle before his premature passage and it turns out they also shot a video for their “WestSide” collab. Published today via WSHH, Momoh’s latest video contains shots of Nipsey Hussle spitting his verse in the studio, raping into the microphone in an emotional scene to watch. Hussle was assassinated weeks ago and this might be one of the last videos we’ve ever seen of him.

Showing Los Angeles streets with girls in revealing bikinis, Momoh meets in the clip with Nipsey, which he says is honored with the rapper. “Working on this song with Nipsey was amazing,” Momoh said of the cut. “When I made this track, I made it so that Nip could do his thing on it – it’s a party atmosphere, and he came with his own original West side feeling. We filmed the video together, and I’m really hurt that he’s not here to see the fans receive and enjoy this music. Our Black Bag family offers our sincere condolences to Nipsey’s family, friends, and fans.

See the below video. To Nipsey Hussle The Great, rest in peace😭😭😭.

VIDEO: OMB Peezy – I’m Straight ft. T.I.

OMB Peezy has gained a lot of steam over the past couple of years in the rap game. Earlier this year, the Mobile, AL rapper released his project, Preacher Of The Streets, which includes features from the game’s major artists. One of his most important features is from T.I. Who’s appearing on the track, “I’m Straight.” Now, the official visuals are linked up.

OMB Peezy’s new video opens with a clip of his 2017 VladTV interview where he talks about hate artists coming to their own city. The video then cuts to the bombardment of Tip and OMB Peezy in a media scrum while their verses are raped. “When it comes to materialistic things that make you who you are, I made this song to explain my point of view to people,” Peezy told Complex. “I’m going to be straight without all these things.” Peep his latest visual above.

VIDEO: Hollywood SOS – Mill In The Mail

Hollywood SOS, an artist based in Toronto, reveals the cinematic visuals to the hustler anthem “Mill In The Mail.” Like the video, the track radiates confidence and distinguishes the rapper as a force to be reckoned with successfully. The story told herein is as exciting as the heavy lyricism of the song and places SOS at the center of a business deal. As the rapper chimes in about never taking any losses, he moves through the video in as fresh as the bars in a set of varied and well-selected fits. Obviously, Hollywood SOS wants to let everyone know he’s very much here to stay, including his haters.

“Mill In The Mail” is the first single released from the highly anticipated project and debut album of Hollywood SOS, Union Station. As such, the visuals derive from the vision of Hollywood SOS that he gave to creative director Frenzy and Karma Records. The video was brought to fruition in Calgary, Alberta, Canadian city.

VIDEO: Megan Thee Stallion – Realer

Megan Thee Stallion is a name that you’ve probably heard about right now. The Houston rapper is a star in the making, bringing with hard rhymes her Southern flavor to the table and a real ability to craft memorable bars. Megan is close to the top of the card with the recent influx of talented women rappers, releasing her album Fever last week for the millions of “Hot Girls” around the world. Hot Girl Meg may not be the cup of tea for everyone, but she knows exactly what she is doing. She’s caught our attention and is ready to lift off but she’s calling Houston with a problem that’s about to be solved in the new “Realer” video before she continues her ascension.

Megan and her “hotties” car are on a mission to save the city from a well-known hater, taking it to a couple of different landscapes to find it. The crew pulls up with Meg leading the girls in a low-rider, balling around her neck with tons of gold and money flying in the street. There’s also a lot of twerking going on in the video, of course. You can say that Megan Thee Stallion has a very calculated mind for someone who seems to have burst into the scene a few months ago. She’s on her way to becoming the South Queen. Watch her latest video below.

VIDEO: DJ Khaled – Weather the Storm ft. Meek Mill & Lil Baby

Since the arrival of DJ Khaled’s Father of Asahd album, we’ve been treated to a handful of video treatments for some of the hottest tracks. From “Wish Wish” featuring Cardi B and 21 Savage to “You Stay,” DJ Khaled’s previous words on how his album will take over have proven to be true.

Another video has arrived for the tune “Weather The Storm,” which sees the trio heading to church for some gospel remedies, assisted by Meek Mill and Lil Baby. The latest video is the album’s seventh offering, which certainly means that there’s more to come as the tape is stacked with 15-tracks. “This is my 11th album, so I make sure I’m developing,” said Khaled to XXL. “But at the same time, I’m changing the game. I was watching the game. I felt like a lot of good music was coming out, but only a handful of the great shit[ was released]. So, with Asahd’s father, I mean everyone’s going to have to go back to the studio and analyze what they’re doing and analyze how they’re going to give it to the world.

VIDEO: Lil Skies – Breathe

Lil Skies cemented himself as one of the game’s most talented up-and-coming rappers with the release of his new project Shelby. He’s done as “up next” and he wants people to notice where he’s right now. With each new song on Shelby introducing equally listenable vibes to the table, he dropped one of the most harmless projects of the year. For many, “Breathe” is a favorite and a video to keep the train moving has been released now.

Nicholas Jandora’s “Breathe” is Lil Skies ‘ latest video. The clip has some powerful editing and a clear theme. The track is a love song, with Skies changing his life to be his girl’s better partner. He wants his girl to be right by his side when he wakes up and if she isn’t, his entire world will fall apart. At the beginning, he levitates in his sleep, slamming hard before he wakes up in a full bath, literally and metaphorically dripping. Underwater portions of the video are shot and other scenes feature raindrops falling into the bedroom of the couple.

This video contains some pretty impressive shots that you can watch above. What are you thinking?

VIDEO: DaBaby – Pony

From his strong debut project, Baby on Baby, DaBaby officially attached visuals to the joint “Pony.” While the comical video easily emerges as a contribution to the yeehaw movement, represented by rapper Lil Nas X, the lyrical flow of DaBaby reminds us that this is hip hop. The amusing video reveals the acting skills of DaBaby as he portrays a ruthless mobster, threatening to behead a pleading victim. The gore of the video suggests the killer bars of DaBaby. A pony, of course, appears in the video and the latter to do justice to the song.

The latest DaBaby news included an altercation between the bodyguards of the rapper and an overzealous fan. The boy was beaten by DaBaby’s security detail after he allegedly became overly persistent in his request to get a photo with DaBaby. Newer reports indicated that immediately after the incident, the victim was hospitalized and has since fallen into a coma. The news may return to DaBaby somehow and cause him some serious trouble. However, we hope the victim will pull through.

VIDEO: DJ Khaled – Wish Wish ft. Cardi B & 21 Savage

DJ Khaled introduced us in his discography on Friday to the latest addition. Before it officially dropped, Father Of Asahd had been teased for over a year and this time around, the overall scheme of the mega-producers was different. Instead of loading us in the weeks leading up to the release of the album with three or four singles, Khaled chose to leave fans waiting for May 17 to hear everything he had been working on.

A long list of collaborators and features was one thing we expected, and as always, Khaled came through. The Khaled family was able to nab 21 Savage and Cardi B for “Wish Wish,” building on their previous “Bartier Cardi” chemistry, with his son Asahd on board as an executive producer.

With Cardi confirmed for the record weeks ago, from the beginning her fanbase was tuned into the drop, checking out her latest verse and getting crazy on social media. A new video for the song, showing Bardi in front of a flaming set of motorcycles, has now been released.

21 Savage and DJ Khaled are standing in a warehouse on some pallets, playing off one of the artist’s bars in Atlanta. DJ Khaled has released a lot of visual support for his new album. There’s more to stay tuned on the way.

VIDEO: Chris Brown – Wobble Up ft. Nicki Minaj & G-Eazy

Chris Brown got to know the old Breezy when he dropped “Wobble Up” in April. Thanks to a restless Nicki Minaj eyeing a return to the podium, and G-Eazy eager to do the same, “Wobbled Up” looked as if it was meant to be the transitional club banger the hip-hop establishment needed.

“Wobble Up” re-entered the stream in the video form a little over a month later. In the “Wobble Up,” Nicki and Chris Brown show little sign of a prudent turn for the worst. Especially G-Eazy, who as history would have it, when the conditions are ripe for tipsy conversation, is the most dastardly pick-up artist of the banquet.

Unfortunately, by casting him in a supporting role, Chris Brown foiled the plans of G-Eazy. Every club obviously has a pecking order based on who fits the bill-exercising the highest degree of exposure, rules that certainly do not apply to a living monarch like Nicki Minaj. The gaze of Breezy is far less consuming than that of Nicki, yet he himself does not know it. Watch as he poses a Vagos member picked up for the camera in a yellow bandana. I don’t know what else to say if that doesn’t attract you?
