Drake Sued For Allegedly Stealing Beats For “In My Feelings” & “Nice For What”

Great Freedia is also named.
A musician at Big Easy made a claim that Drake swiped his music, and he brought the rapper to court to prove it. The Toronto artist was not the only one mentioned in the suit because New Orleans bounce icon Big Freedia has found himself in the musician’s crosshairs, too.

According to TMZ, a man named Samuel Nicholas III, or Sam Skully, accused the two stars of boosting their beats for their viral hit song “In My Feelings.” He also stated that Drake slumped and swiped one of his songs for “Nice For What,” the track that sampled Lauryn Hill’s education about Lauryn Hill single “Ex-Factor.”

Skully said that “In My Feelings” took directly from a song called “Roll Call,” a song he created in 2000. The musician’s beat was allegedly featured on a Skully CD that he released the same year and, according to him, no one . ask for permission or pay to use the music. Drake and Freedia were not Skully’s sole target, because the musician was also named Republic Records, Asylum Records, and Cash Money Records in the lawsuit. We are looking for Skully songs to display a comparison, but not yet available online.
