The critically acclaimed rapper and crooner from Seattle, Dave B, is sharing his new single “Window” ahead of the release of his album BLEU on June 7th. On the Sango and WAXROOF, for an uplifting song about escaping negativity, he produced soulful yet bounce-y, tracking Dave B teams with another young Northwest hip-hop artist, Romaro Franceswa.
Of the song, Dave explains, “This song really is about letting go of shit. I feel like I really had to go inward throughout the creation of this project to express properly how I felt when I made this album. Window is just a reflection of that.” The multi-talented artist boasts a host of talent, singing, writing, and producing a great deal of his own work. Naturally, the musician (and son of a preacher) combines elements of hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and funk with self-reflective, awakened lyrics, soulful melodies, and memorable production, and his latest single does not fail to deceive.
