VIDEO: City Girls – Act Up

The City Girls absolutely blown up in the last year. The girl group consisting of Yung Miami and JT know how to connect with their audience and over the past twelve months they have built a cult-like fanbase. For the duo, songs like “Act Up” were ultra-successful and when it was revealed that Lil Yachty actually wrote a lot of the song, its popularity continued to rise. The track, which is the anthem of a bad girl, has been officially given a new video starting with Boat, introducing the Spring Break anthem as a song that has driven women wild.

Much of the reason the track blew up has to do with the Quality Control duo’s accompanying challenge. They asked their biggest fans to send their own singing and dancing videos to “Act Up,” which helped the official video directors out with content for the end result. The finished product contains a mix of footage sent in by fans, stretching down the street shots from Yung Miami, and Lil Yachty’s comic relief. At one point, Yachty, who serves as an on-set news reporter, assumes the role of a vocal coach as he trains one of the girls to deliver their hard-hitting lyrics, playing off the fact that he wrote the song actually. “If I were a woman, I’d say it that way,” says Lil Boat in a skit in the middle of the video.

VIDEO: Tech N9ne – I Caught Crazy! (4EVER)

The “I Caught Crazy! (4EVER)” single by Tech N9ne is the autobiography of the rapper where he lets the world know that he accepts himself completely. On the track, he’s growing up in detail with thoughts he couldn’t control and feelings he couldn’t describe, but now as an adult he’s embraced all his normalcy — and his mania— and used it to his advantage.

As Tech N9ne and his fellow prison psych ward cohorts stage an uprising, the music video is shot almost in film noir style. They corner the people responsible for locking the mentally and emotionally unstable down, holding them hostage as N9ne delivers his story. He shares that music was his outlet as his childhood events had not yet developed maturity. He wasn’t destroyed by being crazy, it made him gifted. The track is on the recently released four-track N9NA Collection 2 project from Tech N9ne, so make sure you check it out.

VIDEO: Machine Gun Kelly – Hollywood Whore

There has been a renewed interest in the career of Machine Gun Kelly since his feud with Eminem last year. The project that he released immediately after their beef didn’t end up performing well, but his fans have high hopes for Hotel Diablo, which is coming soon. A few singles from the upcoming album have arrived with “Hollywood Whore” serving as the latest. MGK spent time with Fall Out Boy on tour and he was always interested in mixing hip-hop and rock together. He experiments more with hard guitar sounds and rock drums on his new project. It turns out that this time around the whole vibe will be a little bit more gritty as Kellz just shared the “Hollywood Whore” video. Which paints him in a kaleidoscopic clip as the band’s leader.

The video shows MGK with a highlight placed on himself and his tattooed drummer in a room with his team members. At the end, Kellz rocks on the guitar, marveling at how he made it to Saks 5th from the trailer park.

Watch the below video and let us know what you’re thinking. Would you like to see Hotel Diablo released later this year?
